1. E. F. T. Emotional Freedom Technique (one of the techniques I use to effect change) British
researchers discovered that women and men respond very differently to working long hours. When stressed,
women tend to eat more unhealthy snacks, drink more caffeine, smoke more and exercise less. The researchers emphasized the
importance of adhering to a balanced diet. However, they did not have solutions for women who use food to help them deal with
stress. A simple acupressure technique may be that solution.
Women have been using Emotional Freedom Techniques
(EFT) to address the effects of stress, and to curb emotional eating for more than a decade. It involves fingertip tapping
on select acupressure points while focusing on the stressor in question. Fortunately, a growing number of
medical practitioners are addressing the emotional roots of stress using EFT. According to Dr. Eric Robins, a California urologist
who uses EFT in his medical practice, “Whenever we are pushed above our threshold we become stressed and anxious. We
then try to deal with that stress through a variety of coping mechanisms learned during childhood. These include anger, depression,
fear, substance abuse, and overeating.” According to Gary Craig, the Stanford-trained engineer who developed
EFT, “This technique balances the body’s energy meridian system (Chi or Qi) which becomes disrupted when under
stress. We focus on the emotions that may be triggered by stress and when anxiety, frustration and fear are dissolved with
EFT, overeating stops being the automatic response.” Researcher on this study, Dr. Daryl O'Connor of
Leeds University says, "An overwhelming body of evidence shows the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, including
eating a low fat diet and five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Yet our study points to a clear link between stress
and a tendency to eat more unhealthy snacks and consume fewer vegetables and less of a balanced main meal." According to Gary Craig, “In my experience, when patients seem to have an inability to adhere to healthy lifestyle
choices, in spite of the dire consequences, it is because they have a severely disrupted energy meridian system. This disruption
may be caused by unresolved negative emotions or past traumas. EFT is one of the only treatment options available to address
this disruption, correct the self-sabotaging behaviors, and allow people to choose healthier alternatives.” Dr. Robins says, "At least 85% of medical problems are physical manifestations of how stress/anxiety/past traumas are
held in and processed by the body. The best technique to address these issues and to clear them out of the body is EFT.” Although most people have yet to hear of it, EFT may be the world’s fastest-growing self-help technique because
people are getting results where nothing else has worked for them. Over 350,000 have downloaded Craig’s free training
manual and another 10,000 download it each month. The official EFT Manual has been translated by volunteer practitioners into
nine languages. The EFT Manual explains the basics so that anyone can begin applying EFT right away. It can be freely!!
downloaded at http://www.emofree.com/downloadeftmanual.aspEFT combined with NLP and PSYCH-K is even more powerful. Harnessing your negative thoughts and self-talk,

Can a One-Minute Anger Management Technique Reduce
Injury Risk and Chronic Illness? San Francisco, CA (PRWEB)-- Anger contributes to accidents that
cause injury. That sounds obvious, but no one tested the connection until researchers at the University of Missouri - Columbia
found that anger doubles the risk of injury. Their study of emergency room patients was published in last week's Annals
of Family Medicine. What surprised researchers was the high level of irritability, anger, and hostility in their
control group. "We live in a very angry society," observes Professor Dan Vinson, the study's primary author. "Most
physicians and psychiatrists use drugs to calm the anger and hostility that can lead to injury," says Gary Craig, founder
of a self-help procedure called Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT. "But it's possible, without drugs, to defuse
most destructive emotions quickly and efficiently by tapping on key acupuncture points while focusing on whatever you're
upset about. In most cases, the anger simply disappears." According to hundreds of EFT practitioners, the technique
works quickly and permanently - in other words, far more effectively than conventional anger management or drug therapies.
The tapping procedure takes less than a minute to complete, and even when it has to be repeated, it works far faster than
conventional methods. It's also easy to learn and can be done anywhere. That's good news, for anger does
more than increase the risk of injury. It can literally make you sick. Eric Robins, MD, a Los Angeles urologist,
teaches EFT to his patients. "Stress and negative emotions aren't just in our heads," he says. "They are
stored in the body. If you think about the last time you were angry or anxious or depressed, you'll notice where you physically
felt those emotions. Emotional issues block the body's flow of healing energy wherever they're stored. In the office,
whenever I see someone with a chronic condition, pain, or problem that doesn't respond to conventional therapies, I ask
about past traumas or things that the patient feels angry about." In 70 to 75 percent of cases, he says, EFT
significantly improves symptoms. "And not just temporarily," he says. "In most cases, the anger permanently
disappears, and so do the physical symptoms that were attached to it."
2. Is your shampoo safe? Introducing Neways Shampoo This
is an email from a Neways shampoo customer:
I thought you might like to copy and paste the following to your Neways
friends. I read these shampoo ingredients from a very cheap shampoo I bought in a small one pound shop in Reading. The shampoo is called WAVE, with silk proteins (?) Ingredients: Aqua, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium chloride,
parfum, styrene/acrylates copolymer, cocamidopropyl bertaine, polyqarternium 39, panthenol, disodium edta, citric acid, magnesium
nitrate, sodium lauryl sulfate, methyl paraben, hydrolized silk, methylchloroisothiazolinone, magnesium chloride, propyl paraben,
methylisothiazolinone. Costing one pound sterling for 750ml, I washed my entire bathroom with one dose of an amount one
would wash their hair in the first wash and it was sparkling; do these manufacturers think we are so needy of all this? It
is like we are a DIY item to be poisoned to death!
When I saw the Neways film on Sodium laureth sulfate and
any other words that followed the sodium lauryl, I realized I must stop buying these shampoos and so I bought
Neways Second Chance shampoo and for the first time in my life I had lovely, glowing and healthy looking hair. I always thought I had greasy hair that needed a wash every day, now I find I only need to wash every two to three days.
I feel far more pretty and I love to have such light feeling hair. If I forget to wash for a week, it only looks a little
dirty, but not at all greasy, stuck to my face, or anything like before. Also my friends have remarked on my hair being
much better, saying things like, "how have you changed your hair?". Thank heavens for the information
Neways has given me and bless this company. Love and peace, Katherine
My mother suffered from dandruff as long as I remember, from
when I was a child. When I bought a bottle of Neways shampoo, her dandruff disappeared! She kindly lent it to
a friend of hers, leaving her with no alternative but her old shampoos - well, her dandruff returned. She
ordered more Neways shampoo and she has been dandruff free since. 3.
LIPSTICK
INFORMATION Something to consider next time you go shopping for Lipstick...
This comes from someone who works in the breast cancer unit at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
From: Dr.
Nahid Neman If there is a female you care anything about, share this with her. I did! I am also sharing this with
the males on my e-mail list, because they need to tell the females THEY care about as well! Recently a lipstick brand
called "Red Earth" Decreased their prices from $67 to $9.90. It contained lead.
Lead is a chemical which causes cancer. The lipstick brands that contain lead are:
CHRISTIAN DIOR LANCOME CLINIQUE Y.S.L. ESTEE LAUDER SHISEIDO RED EARTH (Lip Gloss) CHANEL
(Lip Conditioner) MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.
The higher
the lead content, the greater the chance of causing cancer. After doing a test on lipsticks, it was found that the Y.S.L.
Lipstick contained the most amount of lead. Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay on longer.
If your lipstick stays longer, it is because of the higher content of lead.
Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick color changes to black, then you know
the lipstick contains lead.
Please send this information to
all your girlfriends, wife and female family members.

Anti-Oxidants to the Rescue! The following is a brief summary
of Chapter 5 of Health Defence by Dr Paul Clayton. The
book is available directly from the Health Defence website www.healthdefence.com This
is part of a serialisation of the book. We hope that you will utilise the information to improve your nutrition, health and
longevity. |
Anti-oxidants to the Rescue · Anti-oxidants are the first line of defence against free radical damage and could add many more healthy years to
your life span. There are basically three lines of anti-oxidant defences: 1st Line Anti-oxidant Enzymes are made in the
body and contain an atom of selenium, zinc, manganese, copper, or iron. Small amounts of these metals are vital to our health. 2nd Line
Anti-oxidants Micro-nutrients are obtained from our diet. These include Vitamins A, C and E, and the
B Vitamins. Co-enzyme Q10, flavonoids and carotenoids are important vitamin-like compounds which have anti-oxidant properties. 3rd Line
Anti-oxidants compounds are formed in the body, and are made up from elements in the diet. These include
melatonin, glutathione, oestrogen, alpha-lipoic acid, Q10 and others. · Studies show that the doses of anti-oxidants needed for good health are far larger than the current RDA (Recommended
Daily Allowances) · Anti-oxidants come
in vitamin, enzyme and compound forms. These can all help slow the ageing process ·
Trace metals (selenium, etc) are vital for anti-oxidant enzymes to work · No single vitamin or mineral is sufficient - our bodies need combinations of anti-oxidants which work in harmony · The risk of heart disease, blindness, cancer, asthma, dementia and arthritis can all be reduced with anti-oxidants Your Anti-Oxidant Checklist · Eat more
fruit, vegetables, nuts and wholegrain foods. · Only drink alcohol in moderation,
preferably red wine. ·
Take moderate amounts of exercise to boost your anti-oxidant enzyme levels - 20
minutes of exercise three times a week is the minimum. · Get a
good night’s sleep in a dark room to boost your melatonin levels. Capsules are available in some countries. · Most
people would benefit from a daily supplement of Vitamins C (500mg), D, E (100mg mixed tocopherols or 265mg D-alpha), B group,
Q10, mixed carotenoids (10-20mg) and alpha-lipoic acid (ALA). · Mineral
supplements of zinc, selenium, copper and manganese will ensure the anti-oxidant enzymes are working properly. Only supplement
with iron if iron deficiency has been diagnosed! · Curcumin, thyme, rosemary,
ginger, garlic, chilli, gingko, cocoa and green tea are all good anti-oxidant ‘extras’. · If you smoke, exercise excessively,
sunbathe or are suffering from chronic inflammation or infection, you need extra anti-oxidants. · Athletes
supplement with higher dose E, C, beta-carotene and Q10 to reduce muscle damage. To protect against and treat the following, incorporate these
into your diet and supplement mix: Heart Disease: Selenium (100-200mcg), C, E, Q10 (90-270mg)
and mixed carotenoids, grapeseed, hawthorn or bilberry flavonoids, betaine. Cataracts: C, E, alpha-lipoic acid, mixed carotenoids,
riboflavin (B2), and turmeric.Macular Degeneration: Vitamins
E and C, lutein, zeaxanthin, selenium, bilberry extract, lycopene and riboflavin (B2). Parkinson’s Disease:
Full anti-oxidant combination, including Vitamins E and C, Q10, beta-carotene, cysteine/alpha-lipoic acid, hawthorn extract,
thyme oil. Asthma:
Fish oil, Vitamins C and E, magnesium, turmeric, gingko, lecithin and/or betaine and sterols. Arthritis:
Vitamins C and E, ginger, curcuminoids, fish or hemp oil and sterols.

5 0 60 is a healthy diet score.
Less than
60: how much could your health improve, noticeably, by taking better care of your diet? If you’ve scored well apart from a few niggles - jolly good! “Convenience foods” dominate our society nowadays: packets and tins of prepared
food which require no kitchen skills but provide a ready-to-eat meal in just a few minutes. Sadly, these
are often low in fibre, vitamins and minerals, high in fat and high in added salt and
sugar/sweeteners. If you’re living on a diet of convenience foods/microwaved food, you are endangering your health and well-being. Avoid
eat microwaved food/drink.

Remember:
Health is Wealth.
Feel Bloated? Could you have
Candida?
My heart goes out to all of you suffering from
this agonising cycle of eating, bloating, discomfort, pain and cramps, lethargy... and then it starts all over again.
Or worse: It never goes away! The first step to healing Candida is to get diagnosed,
but we all know that is much easier said than done and a diagnosis does not bring a fast solution either. After all, we all
must eat and if it’s food that makes you ill, where do you begin without starving yourself?
There
is no quick fix and Candida will force you to change your eating habits and consequently your life.
Nature heals what nature harms
So what's left
after you take cheese, fruit, caffeine, bread, pasta, sugar, alcohol, chocolate and various other foods from your diet? And
how do you go about tackling Candida?
The first step to remember is that you need to starve the Candida yeast.
But before you do this with a food elimination diet, you need to do a detox. Cut out all coffee, tea and juices for at least
a month. Drink plenty of water to help your body detoxify and start your day with a cup of hot water and lemon juice (there
is no need to eliminate lemon juice even though it is a fruit).
Start with a food elimination diet by incorporating
the following food groups in your diet. Vegetables:
Some vegetables like raw garlic, onions, cabbage, broccoli, turnip and kale will actually inhibit the growth of Candida. Buy
your vegetables fresh and steam them. Add a little garlic for flavour (garlic is also helpful with Candida). Eat plenty of
salads with raw salad vegetables such as celery and peppers to help detox and to help energy. Not only do vegetables starve
the Candida of its sugar and mould diet, they also absorb fungal poisons and carry them out of your body. Keep starchy
vegetables like potatoes and yams to a minimum.
Proteins: As part of your plan to starve the
Candida yeast, feel free to eat plenty of high-protein meals. Foods like beef, chicken, fish and eggs are all good for you
anyway and are almost completely free of sugars and mould. They will fill you up while restricting the Candida's appetite
and growth. Other supplements can also help, whey protein being a good example.
Live yogurt cultures:
Live yogurt cultures (or probiotics) are a class of supplement that help your gut to repopulate itself with good
bacteria. They are especially useful or when suffering from Candida. The live bacteria in yogurt will crowd out the Candida
yeast and restore balance to your system. I recommend Advanced Probiotics by Neways (see my shop).
Good bacteria
will also produce antifungal enzymes that can help you fight Candida.
Nuts and seeds: Another
protein option that starves Candida and restricts its growth. Avoid peanuts, peanut butter, and pistachios as they tend to
have a higher mould content. Also consider soaking other nuts in water to remove any mould on the outside (spraying with a
diluted grapefruit seed extract solution is even better).
Non-glutinous grains: Wheat and rye
are off the menu but there are other grains that you can eat. If you like toast in the morning, try millet bread instead of
your usual brand. Rice can be eaten for a Candida diet, but get brown rice or preferably wild rice. For cereal at breakfast,
try a low-sugar variety with oat bran.
Fruit needs to be eliminated from you diet if you suffer with Candida.
However, this is not all fruit. Your diet can still accommodate some papaya, pineapple, grapefruit and all types of berries.
Any Candida diet should strive to reduce or eliminate processed refined sugars and bleached flour. Eliminate meats
treated with synthetic hormones or chemicals. Eliminate hydrogenated fats (peanut butter, baked goods and margarine, etc.).
Reduce processed and refined foods as much as possible. Instead eat nutrient-rich, organic, non-processed whole foods and
plenty of fresh raw vegetables. Prepare most of your food yourself.
This diet is recommended as a guideline for
someone who has never carried out an elimination diet before. Those with mild Candida symptoms may want to try it for 3 months
to evaluate if it helps, those with severe symptoms should seek the help of a nutritionist or natural health practitioner
with a case history of success with long term Candida sufferers.
