Life Coaching
Q: How do you climb a mountain? A: 1 Step at a time!
All sorts of people benefit from a fresh focus, in confidence, to define and tackle important goals
and issues - career, personal, lifestyle - improve relationships and inner motivation. Life Coaching looks proactively
to the future, from Now to... where do you really mean to be? Different from teaching, training, advising,
counselling - or well-meaning friends and family!
I believe people have the ability to increase their resources and abundance, with a coaching style that is non-prescriptive
(unless specifically asked) and always non-judgemental.
Are some areas of your life in a rut or have you reached a crossroads? Maybe you have too much - or
too little - time on your hands, or always put things off. People do the best they can with the choices available to
them... what would you be like if you knew better choices?
Remembering how motivated you have been in the past, you'll also imagine how successful
or happy you'd be with even more Oomph!, decisiveness, supreme confidence in your plans or a better work/life
balance.
Coaches maximise potential. Whatever it is, my non-judgemental and non-prescriptive methods will
help you define what you want, honour your values, make more informed decisions, set you on your chosen course and keep
you on course.

You possess the most powerful tool known to man: the human mind. We are in charge of our minds,
and therefore our results. Neuro Linguistic Programming effectively treats unwanted thoughts, emotional states and
behaviours and enhances your own personal effectiveness.
NLP allows change so your whole life begins to change for the better.
Instant change is also possible. We've all made decisions "in an instant", likewise we've
all realised a change of heart or mind "in a flash".
We get what we focus on and excellent success can follow effective thinking. Paul McKenna, Anthony Robbins and other great
motivators use NLP.
NLP can alleviate an area of concern and reinforce your own personal power. Just 1 or a few appointments
could help you to stop a bad habit or phobia, diminish uncomfortable emotions associated with a trigger from the past,
anchor and access good feelings; relate to others better, become more skillful, let go of the past to confidently
create a more abundant, empowering future; even "review" the future.
We create our own reality. It's also easier to change yourself than others. At last here are
many and varied ways to create more of what you want and access different disciplines and methods, ancient
and new.
So, how would you like to live? What's your dream?

Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, simple, powerful hands-on treatment to heal, relax or rejuvenate. It always
works for the person's highest good. Its purpose is to balance the chakras (body's energy centres) so that ki/universal
life force energy flows unimpeded through the body.
It deals with the cause of a problem, reduces anxiety and pain, improves posture and health, and increases peace and
love for self and all things. It works through clothes and solid objects and transcends time and space. Reiki
is effective from the moment it starts.
Reiki
Full treatment 60 minutes
Half treatment 30 minutes (book to follow another
session)
Effective even if only for a few minutes.
Have Reiki as often as desired or until
ill symptoms dissolve.

Convert your home
to safer, non-toxic products
Did you know that there are potentially harmful, carcinogenic (cancer-causing) chemicals in many
toothpastes, shampoos, personal care products, cosmetics and most popular household cleaning products?! Also,
the body stores toxins which could lead to illness and malfunction? And when a person "loses
weight" as in bodyfat, many toxins get released from the fat cells into the bloodstream... which circulates all
over the body including one's brain! Yuck - scary!
Your health is important, isn't it?
When you have a moment, check your bathroom, kitchen and make-up products for SLS, Propylene Glycol,
Talc, Alcohol, Aluminium... These are hazardous to our health.

Did you know
that without Minerals, the body can't
fully absorb Vitamins?
The nutritional value of most food has decreased alarminly due to
overfarming and routine use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers. Sadly, 1 apple today has as little as half, or even
less, the nutritional value as 1 apple 50 years ago. Same goes for most other foods and animal feed - not to mention
the routine use of antibiotics, growth enhancers, bulking agents, polluted waters, air miles, food miles, and so on!
We are what we eat, what we eat affects how we
feel: and how we feel affects our whole day!
Vitamins
A, C, E,
Antioxidants
and Free Radicals
Free radicals are highly reactive compounds that are created in the body during normal metabolic functions
or introduced from the environment. Free radicals are inherently unstable, since they contain “extra” energy.
To reduce their energy load, free radicals react with certain chemicals in the body, and in the process, interfere with the
cells’ ability to function normally.
Antioxidants work in several ways: they may reduce the energy of the free radical, stop the free radical
from forming in the first place, or interrupt an oxidizing chain reaction to minimize the damage caused by free radicals.
Free radicals are believed to play a role in more than sixty different health conditions, including
the aging process, cancer, and atherosclerosis.1 Reducing exposure to free radicals and increasing intake of
antioxidant nutrients has the potential to reduce the risk of free radical-related health problems.
Oxygen, although essential to life, is the source of the potentially damaging free radicals. Free radicals
are also found in the environment. Environmental sources of free radicals include exposure to ionizing radiation (from industry,
sun exposure, cosmic rays, and medical X-rays), ozone and nitrous oxide (primarily from automobile exhaust), heavy metals
(such as mercury, cadmium, and lead), cigarette smoke (both active and passive), alcohol, unsaturated fat, and other chemicals
and compounds from food, water, and air.
The body produces several antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and
glutathione peroxidase, that neutralize many types of free radicals. Supplements of these enzymes are available for oral administration.
However, their absorption is probably minimal at best. Supplementing with the “building blocks” the body requires
to make SOD, catalase, and glutathione peroxidase may be more effective. These building block nutrients include the minerals
manganese, zinc, and copper for SOD and selenium for glutathione peroxidase.
In addition to enzymes, many vitamins and minerals act as antioxidants in their own right, such as
vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, vitamin B2, coenzyme Q10, and cysteine (an amino acid). Herbs, such as bilberry, turmeric (curcumin), grape seed or pine bark extracts, and ginkgo can also provide powerful antioxidant protection for the body.
Consuming a wide variety of antioxidant enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and herbs may be the best way
to provide the body with the most complete protection against free radical damage.
See “Revenol” antioxidant tablets in my shop, or (stronger, for those aiming to clear a
disease) “Cascading Revenol”.
Reiki explained
Our planet gives us a frequency of Life Force Energy that is healing and
invigorating. We receive energy from the food we eat, air, earth, rocks and sea, plants and living creatures, the sun
and moon. Most cultures have a name for Life Force or Energy: Chi in Chinese, Ki in Japanese and Prana in Indian.
Rei (universal) ki (life force/energy) offers us another frequency.
We are more than our bodies: we have an energy body as well as a physical body.
The energy that is in and around our bodies is in everything - it supporots life. Everything is energy and all energy
has a frequency that vibrates at its own or varying levels: colours of food, sounds in music, light, solids -
all have specific frequencies of energy.
The purpose of a Reiki treatment is to balance the universal life force
energy of a person so that it flows unimpeded throughout the whole body. Reiki is very gentle, simple and powerful and
works in the best interests of the person receiving, whilst the Reiki Healer acts as a channel (like a wire between a computer
and a plug point) for Reiki to come through.
Reiki supports the whole person: physically,
emotionally, mentally, spiritually. It deals with the cause of a problem or condition, without the need of words being
spoken (although we may focus on key words where appropriate). Treatments vary and can be from just a few
minutes to an hour, as frequently as desired, depending on circumstances. Ideally a treatment is head to toes, 30-60
minutes. It is effective through clothes and solid furniture and even transcends time and space (Distance Healing).
All you need to be is still and aware of your own breathing, whilst the
healer places hands on or close to your head and body, to allow Reiki to flow directly to you through your Chakras (7
major energy centres), and maybe hands, feet, shoulders. You might be asked to sit, lie down, or stand.
You might hear a few words spoken quietly.
On a physical level, Reiki can bring deep relaxation to stressed muscles,
lightness of being as if floating or walking on air or trance moments; it decreases pain and accelerates healing of wounds/bones
etc, detoxifies, prevents ill-health and much more.
On an emotional and mental level, for the unconscious and conscious mind,
anxiety is reduced, well-being increased or restored, clarity and focus, enlightenment and motivation, and promotes a positive
mental attitude. Another level of relaxation is felt and, at this degree of deep mental, emotional and physical relaxation,
rebalanacing of energies occurs and the natural healing ability of the body and mind is enhanced.
Reiki heals at the root cause as well as symptoms.
On a spiritual level, people have described a sense of feeling reborn,
rejuvenated, and Love.
What will you feel? Sensations of heat, cold, vibration, unusual
heaviness, deep relaxation, slight discomfort followed by any the the above; or grounded, supported, love, energy - or
very rarely, nothing! Whatever you experience, Reiki is doing its good. You are always in control.
Some people sleep or involuntarily laugh, cry, twitch, shiver, cough - all these are signs that something
unwanted is leaving the body; just focus on inhaling fully and deeply, and exhaling completely, notice sensations
or thoughts and let them pass on, then focus on your breath again.
Reiki is not diagnostic. It will naturally allow things to become apparent or occur to our conscious
minds, that need to come to the surface when we are ready to deal with them. Reiki is gentle and
Reiki's outcomes are always for the person's highest good.
Distance Healing: This is Reiki that transcends time
and space - from a distance, to yourself or another person/animal/event in the future, for a specific time and place;
or to heal a past event/relationship/circumstance - in order to accelerate closure, for example. This can be done in
person or, if that is not possible, supply a photo, name and date of birth or time/date/place of an event.
"Just for today do not worry.
Just for today do not anger.
Honour your parents, teachers and
elders.
Earn your living honestly.
Show gratitude to every living thing."
(Reiki spiritual principles)
What you get with Regular Exercise
- A more efficient HEART. With increased activity, your heart muscle beats
harder and your pulse increases. It becomes a stronger muscle and takes and beats out more blood per beat =
more efficient heart. A slower pulse at Rest and with Activity. It uses oxygen more efficiently with its denser
cardiac capillaries; it's bigger; it recovers quicker.
- More receptive BLOOD VESSELS. When they heat up, they dilate to let more
blood through and control blood pressure. With regular exercise, you build denser capillary beds and pass more oxygen
and carbon dioxide - blood vessels havemore efficient diffusion and are more receptive to activity.
- Stronger LUNGS. With activity, breathing becomes faster, deeper - increasing
the rate and capacity of both oxygen taken into the blood and carbon dioxide breathed out. Functional muscles working
the lungs become more effective. Lungs become stronger and build denser alveoli beds which increases lung capacity and
gaseous exchange. Lungs recover quicker after activity. You breathe slower and deeper at rest and at exercise.
- Stronger more efficient MUSCLES. With activity, muscles heat up, increasing
their core temperature as more energy is being burnt; size and suppleness increase. Develop more capillary beds, become
bigger and stronger, burns more fuel (calories) even while resting - without changing what you eat and drink. Have a
leaner muscle/fat ratio, healthier BMI (body mass index) and bodyfat %age. Quicker muscle reaction, better co-ordination,
improved nervous system. Improved balance (thinking ahead - when we're elderly, balance and co-ordination
are really important)
- Stronger SKELETON. With weight-bearing exercise (eg. walking, pushing),
stress on your skeleton is increased. Longer term, it becomes stronger through lines of stress: the cellular, honeycomb
formation of the bone builds directionally to suit the stress lines. The outer parts (priosteum) grow stronger; insertions
to bones grow stronger; joints more stable. More resistant to osteopososis.
- AND ... deeper, better sleep. Calmer under stress. Look and feel
better - skin, hair, nails, teeth, eyes... Fight off colds, allergens etc. more easily; more efficient digestion.
Liking yourself more! Buy clothes you want with the body you've sculpted. Wear those Speedos/cutaway swimsuit/leather
trousers! Get rid of dull, nagging procrastination that comes with Not taking regular exercise. Less likely
to get depressed, sick or diseased, or all three. More Positive in outlook (all that oxygen feeds the brain, after
all), clearer headed.

Walk Up and Down Escalators
Eat a piece of fruit / drink a small fruit juice with water
every couple of hours
to keep your energy levels boosted, up your metabolic rate and stave off hunger pangs in between

Sip water throughout the day.
Drink 8 - 10 tall glasses of clean, still water a day
(work up to it gradually if you’re not used to it).
Plus! Drink one glass per coffee/tea/unit of alcohol
(dehydrating substances are often the cause of fatigue and headaches). Dehydration stops the absorption of fat in the body and elimination of toxins and waste.

"What's
in your Bedroom?"
(check your labels)
Alcohol. A
colourless, volatile flammable liquid produced by fermentation of yeast and carbohydrates. Frequently used as a solvent.
As an ingredient is ingestible products, alcohol may cause body tissues to be more vulnerable to carcinogens (cancer-causing
substances). eg.,Mouthwashes with an alcohol content of 25% or more have been linked to mouth,
tongue and throat cancers. Air pilots especially avoid these as they need to pass an alcohol indicator test.
Alpha Hydroxy Acid. An organic acid produced by anaerobic
respiration. Skin care products containing AHA exfoliate not only damage skin cells, but
dissolve and remove the skin's outer layer as well. Long-term skin damage may result from use. Increased sensitivity
to UVA and UVB rays.
Aluminium. A metallic element used extensively in the manufacture
of aircraft components and prosthetic devices. Found in some antiperspirants, antacids and antiseptics,
and to make cookware and cooking foil. Aluminium has been linked to Alzheimer's disease.
Animal Fat (Tallow). A type of animal tissue made up of oil
solids or semisolids that aqre water-soluble esters of glycerol with fatty acids. Animal fats and lye are the main ingredient
in a most soaps and hair conditioners = a breeding ground for bacteria.
Bentonite. A porous clay
that expands to many times its dry volume as it absorbs water. Bentonite, commonly found in many cosmetic
foundations, may clog pores and suffocate skin.
Collagen.
An insoluble fibrous protein that is too large to penetrate the skin. The collagen found in most skin
care products is derived from ground up chicken feet. This forms a layer of film that suffocates the skin.
DEA Diethanolamine
and TEA Triethanolamine. Severe eye irritant which reacts with nitrates (preservatives in some products)
to form highly carcinogenic nitrosamines. Nitrosamines can penetrate the skin.
Dioxins (won't be on labels - this is a by-product). A potentially
carcinogenic by-product that results from the process used to bleach paper. Diozin treated containers sometimes transfer
dioxins to the product itself. Dioxins are also formed from some ingredients reacting together as the product just sits
in the bottle.
DMDM hydantoin. Contains formaldehyde, a poisonous irritant
to the skin, eyes and mucus membranes. Carcinogenic and neuro-toxic.
Elastin of High-molecular
Weight. A protein similar to collagen that is the main component of elastin fibres. Elastin is also derived
from animal sources. Its effect on the skin is similar to Collagen.
Flourocarbons.
A gas or liquid that can produce mild upper respiratory tract irritation. Fluorocarbons are commonly found in hairsprays - have you found it difficult to breathe after using a hairspray, or at the hairdressers?
Formaldehyde. A toxic gas that is an irritant and a carcinogen.
When combined with water, formaldehyde is used as a disinfectant, fixative or preservative. Formaldehyde is found in
many cosmetic products and conventional nail care systems.
Glycerin.
A syrupy liquid that is chemically produced by combining water and fat. Glycerin is used as a solvent and plasticiser.
Unless the humidity of the air is 65%, glycerin draws moisture from the lower layers of the skin and holds it on the surface,
which dries the skin from the inside out. Check your skin lotions.
Kaolin.
A fine white clay used in making porcelain. Like bentonite, kaolin smothers and weakens the skin.
Lanolin.
A fatty substance extracted from wool, which is commonly found in cosmetics and lotions.
Lanoliin is a common skin sensitiser that can cause allergic reactions, such as skin rashes.
Lye. A highly concentrated watery solution of sodium hydroxide
or potassium hydrosinde. Lye is combined with animal fats to make bars of soap, which may
corrode and dry out the skin.
Mineral Oil (also
known as Parfinum Liquidum). A derivative of crude oil (petroleum) that is used industrially as a cutting fluid
and lubricating oil. Mineral Oil forms an oily film over the skin to lock in moisture, toxins and wastes, but hinders
normal skin respiration by keeping oxygen out.
Petrolatum.
A petroleum based grease that is used industrially as a grease component. Petrolatum exhibits many of the same potentially
hamful properties as Mineral Oil.
Phenylene-diamines. Carcinogenic properties. Implicated
in contact dermatitis.
Propylene Glycol. A cosmetic form of mineral oil found in
automatic brake and hydraulic fluid and industrial antifreeze. In skin and hair products,
propylene glycol works as a humecent, which is a substance that retains the moisture content of skin or cosmetic products
by preventing the escape of moisture or water. Material Safety Data Sheets warn users to avoid skin contact with propylene
glycol as this strong skin irritant can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage.
Sodium Hydroxide.
Corrosive. An eye, skin and respitatory irritant. Used industrially in drain and oven cleaners, but also found
in moisturisers and hair care products. Corrosive to skin in even dilute solutions.
Can burn eyes, skin and internal organs once absorbed.
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). An anionic surfectant used in
cosmetics and industrial chemicals as a cleansing agent. Used as a thickener and foaming agent in shampoos,
toothpastes and cleansers, and as a wetting agent in garage floor cleaners, engine degreasers and car cleaning products.
SLS is used around the world in clinical studies as a skin irritant. High levels of skin penetration may occur at even
low concentrations. Studies have shown SLS to have a degenerative effect on the cell membrane due to its protein denaturing
properties. It can also maintain residual levels in major organs of the body from skin contact. Carciniogenic
nitrates can form in the manufacturing of SLS or by its combination of other nitrogen bearing ingredients within a formulation,
creating a nitrosating agent.
Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES). SLES is the alcohol form (ethoxylated)
form of SLS. It has higher foaming qualities and is slightly less irritating, but may cause more drying. May also
cause potentially carcinogenic formulations of nitrates, or nitrosating agents, reacting with other ingredients. Look
out for SLES in some baby and childcare products!
Talc.
A soft grey-green mineral used in some personal hygiene and cosmetic products. Inhaling talc can cause lung disease.
This substance is recognised as a potential carcinogen. Routine application of talc in the genital area is associated
with a three- to four-fold increase in ovarian cancer.
